WELCOME TO NYE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Our home is eighteen thousand one hundred and eighty-two square miles of beautiful panoramic high-desert rural Nevada, the largest geographical school district in the contiguous United States, Nye County.
Our school district serves Pre-K through Adult Education in six unique remote rural Nevada communities. Our school sites are located in the rustic locations of Round Mountain, Gabbs, Tonopah, Beatty, Amargosa, and Pahrump, Nevada. These communities are bursting with unique character, people, and opportunities. A natural outgrowth of serving and working with these good people is a deepening feeling of care and respect. The staff of Nye County School District (NCSD) has a genuine desire and commitment to do all within our power to improve our instructional practice and education-related services for all our students, families, and community members of Nye County.
We have a vision of NCSD, where all students and staff are learning at high levels. Our mission is to ensure that every NCSD student and staff member is learning-focused.
Our four areas of focus are to nurture and maintain a learning-focused culture, improve instructional practice, marshal and allocate resources, and talent management/leadership development at every level and job type.
