DESTRUCTION OF OLD SPECIAL EDUCATION FILES
Nye County School District (NCSD) in compliance with the Federal guidance 34CFR 300.624 maintains Special Education records for a minimum of six years beyond the exit of a Special Education Student. The personally identifiable information collected, maintained and used by Special Education Support Services for students, who have exited in 2016, will be destroyed by March 15, 2023. If a former student or parent (for former students under age 18) with a release of information would like to access these records prior to their destruction, please contact Special Education Support Services at (775) 751-4015 by February 28, 2023.
